Dig into your cookie jar!

I’m sure I’m not the only one who ever does this, but I have a tendency to doubt myself. I get in my own head, I beat myself up over small things, and I forget – in a sense – who I am.

One concept that has helped me a LOT is called The Cookie Jar. This comes from motivational speaker & Navy SEAL David Goggins. Inside your mental cookie jar are all your wins: Your accomplishments, the obstacles you’ve overcome, the affirmations you’ve received from others.

Goggins describes it like this: “Dig into your Cookie Jar of past victories. Keep note of the times you succeeded. Remember them as inspiration for how you’ll win again.”

Every time that you doubt yourself or you’re doubted by someone else, go to your cookie jar. Remind yourself of what you’ve accomplished & overcome, then say, “This is hard. It’s supposed to be hard. But I can do hard things!”
