One of the greatest basketball players ever was named Kobe Bryant. And if you’re not a basketball fan, there’s still a lot to learn here.

He didn’t start off as the greatest. He wanted to be the best, but he wasn’t that talented. BUT here’s what made Kobe special: He was an incredibly hard worker! He practiced more than anyone else. And he practiced harder than anyone else. He would wake up hours before everyone else, just to get an extra practice in.

Now, would Kobe have achieved great things if he didn’t work hard? Not nearly as much

If all he did was set a goal, make plan, and dream about it – it wouldn’t happen. He said, “Have a dream, then go put in the work.” When you set a goal for yourself – like improving your grades or becoming a Black Belt – there is no way to get there than through hard work.

And you’re going to have days when you don’t feel like it. You’re going to have days when you would rather sit at home. But if you just show up and do the work, you are more likely to achieve it.

If your goal is to become a Black Belt, put in the work by showing up to class 2-3x/week. Practice a few minutes at home everyday. Work hard when you’re here.

If your goal is to improve your grades, put in the work by showing up by doing your homework thoroughly & on time, ask questions, spend a few extra minutes studying.

Many people set goals. Only a few truly work hard. We choose to be like Kobe & put in the work!
